PYD acquires Jesus del Pozo, Josep Font new creative director
The perfume-creating company, which markets products both nationally and internationally, Perfumes y Diseño S.A., has acquired 100% of the shares of the fashion house Jesús del Pozo S.A.
The Spanish fashion designer, Josep Font, has been named Creative Director of the Jesús del Pozo fashion house. He will develop the coming Jesús del Pozo collections. In addition, he will lead the same team that, after the passing of Jesús del Pozo, was in charge of perpetuating the fashion house.
The brand, Jesús del Pozo, has recently been acquired by the perfume company Pefumes y Diseño S.A. From the time of the founder’s passing, the company has been assessing different candidates until, in the end, Font’s great talent, at both a national as well as international level, tipped the balance in his favor.
Josep Font, who was invited by the “Fedération Française de la Couture” to show his collections at the Haute Couture week in Paris, shares with Jesús del Pozo precisely this faithfulness to a traditional process taken from Haute Couture.
Josep Font explains: “It is a total honor for me to collaborate in the conservation of the legacy of Jesús del Pozo, for whom I have always had the utmost respect. I am really looking forward to having the opportunity to lead this project.”
