Delpozo collaborates with luxury jewellery firm Suárez
The “Elia, the Garden Between Days” collection of the Spanish jewellery firm Suárez has been created in honour of its 75th anniversary.
Inspired on a super-heroine from another universe, Elia needs a wardrobe that matches her status and Delpozo is the brand that has been chosen for this purpose. The result is two unique garments that Elia wears in the comic strip created especially to tell her story and that of the powers her amulets transmit.
“For us it was fundamental to be associated with a strong brand to develop Elia’s costume”, says Gabriel Suárez, Creative Director of Suárez. The combination of tradition and innovation, its craftsmanship and know-how have been key factors as both brands share these values as part of their DNA. Delpozo manages to convey romanticism and fantasy through these two special garments that envelop this capsule collection. The sweet and lightly dusted tones matched this heroine as much as the ethereal fabrics. The result: a dress and a cape, that can been seen both in the comic and in reality, as the garments have been made and will be displayed at different design schools.
The dress is made in a silk fil coupé with mauve dots and with embroidered floral motifs in translucent crystals, an effect which extends to the entire garment. The cape has been made in goffered organza overlaid with crystal-shaped resin buttons.
