Delpozo opens a pop-up store in Harrods, London
The elegant Knightsbridge district of the English capital hosts the first Delpozo pop-up store. The resort and spring-summer collections are available at HARRODS from May 15th to 29th in this way. Two weeks when it will be possible to visit the short-lived Delpozo store, elegantly decorated with papier mâché flowers, pink and white columns and branches simulating real trees. Under the name “Cactus Flower”, the resort collection is inspired on the delicacy of the works of Korean painter Kwang Ho Lee and the vibrant colour palette of London-based illustrator Charlotte Ager.
With carefully applied paint traces barely wider than a hair’s breadth, the Korean artist creates imposing representations of cactus plants full of needles and entangled branches. It is a contrast between the beauty and delicacy of the flowers and the aridity of the cactus and its sharp needles.
The work of Murano glass artist Fulvio Bianconi is very present in the spring-summer 2019 collection. Wispy summer fabrics in pastel colours that create ethereal dresses, blouses and loose-fitting trousers. The architectonic codes of the brand’s creator were present in the form of sheath dresses, structured blouses and bell-shaped skirts. Glycine plant and Japanese tree details adorned the models’ heads and inspire the voluminous sleeves.
